I named the lamps as one family, after constellations of the southern evening sky. The stone moved out of the name and into the options, so a lamp keeps its name whatever it's made in.

The names

One family, one sky.

The rule

A lamp is named for a constellation. What it's made of is an option, not part of its name.

Sister lamps

Two names became one.

Later, lamps that were really the same shape in different materials were merged. Dorado and Vela became one lamp with a finish picker, as did Columba and Mimosa. The old names live on as finish labels, and their old links still land in the right place.
